About This Position
Outdoor Prolink is seeking a full-time Account Manager for our office in Boulder, CO. We’re looking for a friendly, growth-oriented professional with a background managing key accounts. The Account Manager will drive digital sales growth, brand success, and catalog expansion for key outdoor gear and apparel brands on our e-tail platform. The ideal candidate has experience working in the outdoor industry, loves people and is looking for a stable position at a fast-growing company. Outdoor Prolink is a members-only eCommerce website for professionals working in the outdoor industry!

- Compensation: Starting at $65,000 per year

As Account Manager your daily responsibilities for a curated portfolio of outdoor brands include:
- Acting as the primary strategic partner.
- Owning sales goals, promotional strategies, and growth metrics.
- Maximizing Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV).
- Pitching and deploying internal platform advertising tools, sponsored search placements, and seasonal outdoor campaign participations.
- Conducting quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to align with brands on pre-season inventory commitments and promotional calendars.
- Optimizing the product catalog & assortment.
- Analyzing seasonal outdoor trends to influence brands to list relevant SKU catalogs, exclusive colorways, and key product drops.
- Optimizing the digital merchandising presence.
- Partnering with our Operations team to resolve brand issues regarding catalog feeds, inventory synchronization, and order fulfillment.
The Ideal Candidate
We think a great fit for the Account Manager role includes most or all of the following traits and skills:
- Professional Experience: 3-5 years of account management experience, ideally working inside an online marketplace, eTailer, or a wholesale department.
- Data & Analytics: Proficiency in Excel and internal BI tools to synthesize sales metrics, and conversion & growth opportunities.
- Communication: Strong relationship management and negotiation skills required to influence brand sales directors and account teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the outdoor industry, technical apparel, hardware categories, and key market trends.
- Proactive: Ready to take ownership of issues and lead initiatives through to completion.
- Self-starter: Excited to learn and experiment with new ideas. Works independently to solve problems.
- An eager professional: Organizes tasks and workload efficiently. Exercises diplomacy in the face of adversity. Stays positive, motivated, and inspires others to do the same.
- Travel & Event Attendance: Up to 15% travel required to represent the platform, scout emerging trends, and meet face-to-face with brand partners on-site and at industry events.
